IGT's parent company, International Game Technology Global Solutions Corporation, has extended two contracts with the Kentucky Lottery. The agreement will see the lottery operator continue to receive updates from IGT Global Solutions Corporation until 2036.

Under the agreement, IGT will provide the Aurora platform, which the Kentucky Lottery will use at its 3,400 retail locations across the United States. The company will also deploy an upgraded iLottery system with cloud integration.

During an interview, Mary R. Harville, CEO of the Kentucky Lottery Corporation, said:

" The Kentucky Lottery has partnered with IGT since operations first began and we have continued to look for ways, in partnership with IGT, to modernize our offerings over the last 30-plus years. Enhancing our lottery solutions with IGT's retail and iLottery systems and convenient self-service retail terminals will provide more opportunities for us to responsibly grow our sales and return additional funds for scholarships and grants for Kentucky college students."

For the modernized iLottery platform, the supplier of lottery games will roll out cloud integration services in addition to the Aurora retail hardware. The platform will soon be installed in the regulated lottery operator. This update will improve the system in several ways, including security, scalability, and the speed with which new features can be implemented. In addition, it allows quicker and easier incorporation of data and insights. The iLottery system from IGT includes robust, responsible gambling tools.

Jay Gendron, IGT's chief operating officer for Global Lottery, said:

"The Kentucky Lottery has always been at the forefront of lottery innovation, and IGT is pleased to continue supporting these modernization efforts. IGT's future-forward mindset and next-generation product portfolio are critical in today's evolving lottery space. Over the next 10 years, we will build upon our longstanding partnership with the Kentucky Lottery and deploy our sophisticated technology to further enhance the player experience."

As per the new agreement, IGT will supply over 4,000 Retailer Pro terminals and 850 GameTouch(TM) 28 lottery vending machines to Kentucky Lottery merchants.

SVP of Global iLottery at IGT Srini Nedunuri remarked:

"In 2016, the Kentucky Lottery became one of IGT's first US customers to launch an iLottery program. Since then, IGT has worked with the Kentucky Lottery to triple the number of online draw games available to players, as well as provide a vast portfolio of compelling instant games. IGT's cloud-based iLottery platform will offer the Lottery more flexibility, increased analytics, and a full suite of advanced player-management features and responsible gaming tools."

This announcement is part of the company's long-term goal to cement its position in the United States. Recently, the software developer extended its contract with California Lottery for another 7 years. IGT also signed a 10-year contract extension with Pan Malaysian Pools to upgrade the existing system technology.
